The Aroostook Medical Center raises more than $300,000 a year from many generous donors, including grateful patients and their loved ones. Much of this money comes in through an Annual Fund direct mail appeal and makes it possible for the hospital to purchase equipment and other materials that have an immediate impact on patient care in northern Maine.

Patients have asked to be added to our fundraising mailing list so that they have an opportunity to make a gift. Some of TAMC’s most generous donors are its patients who wish to express their own gratitude for the care they have received, and to ensure that their friends and neighbors will receive outstanding care.

Every gift really does matter. When approaching private foundations for funding, even modest gifts from individuals are considered favorably as a sign of community “buy in.”

TAMC does not and will not share information about donors or prospective donors with any other organization. Information about donors is considered confidential.

TAMC values the preferences of its donors and has always respected the rights of donors to remain anonymous. • Any individual can request to be exempted from receiving any fundraising mail and/or phone calls at any time. Requests for such exemptions are honored very quickly, often while the donor or prospective donor is on the telephone.
