AROOSTOOK ATTENTION DEFICIT SUPPORT GROUP-meets the first Tuesday each month, conference room 4 at The Aroostook Medical Center, Presque Isle. The group is for parents, professionals and persons who either live or work with ADD/ADHD individuals. For more information, call Dixie Dumond at 498-2575.

BEREAVEMENT GROUP-Meets the first Tuesday of every month in Presque Isle. Sponsored by TAMC Women's Health Center, Visiting Nurses of Aroostook, and Duncan Graves Funeral Home. Contact Vicki Flannery at 768-4081.

BINGO-Every Saturday night, starting 6:30 p.m., the Knights of Columbus Hall in Limestone.

BINGO-Senior citizen bingo is hosted by Caribou Lion's Community Center, upstairs, Fridays, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 pm.

BLOOD PRESSURE CLINIC-Free, 1-3 p.m. every Wednesday by the Aroostook Health Center and Crown Ambulance, at the Aroostook Health Center Grant Building on Highland Avenue, Mars Hill. Homebound residents of the greater Mars Hill area can be checked at home by calling: 768-4386 or 768-4915.

BRAIN INJURY Support Group (including stroke) -- meets 7-8:30 p.m. the second Thursday each month. For information, call Marie at 496-0072.

BREAST CANCER SUPPORT GROUP-meets 6:30 p.m. on the first Monday each month at 277 Houlton Rd., Presque Isle. Call Dr. Lisa Obstfeld 764-6666 for details, and for information about other breast cancer resources.

BREAST CANCER SUPPORT GROUP-meets the first Tuesday each month 2:30-4:30 p.m. at Cary Medical Center. Whether you have recently been diagnosed, are receiving treatment, are facing challenges of recurrence, or are a long-time survivor, you are not alone. BRIDGE AND CANASTA-for senior and retired persons, 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Presque Isle Recreation Center on South Main Street.

BRIDGE CLUB-The Caribou Lion's Community Center hosts bridge upstairs, Wednesdays, noon to 3:30 p.m.

BRIDGEWATER HISTORICAL SOCIETY-meets 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Mondays each month at the Bridgewater Community Building.

CATHOLIC GOLDEN AGE-The Catholic Golden Age group meets every third Sunday 2 p.m. at Holy Rosary Center, Caribou. Everyone over age 50 may attend.

FIBROMYALGIA AND CHRONIC FATIGUE SUPPORT-group meets 1-3 p.m. the third Monday each month in the Maine Room of Cary Medical Center. For more information, call 498-1143.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY-Aroostook County Chapter, meets 7 p.m. monthly, the second Monday, at Grant Memorial United Methodist Church, 79 Fleetwood St. Ext., Presque Isle. Public is welcome.

HELPING HANDS for Children & Families, an information and referral service offering a Hotline for support groups, workshops, conferences, and meetings pertaining to children with special needs and their families. 764-7664 and 1-800-464-7664, sponsored by United Way of Aroostook.

LOOK GOOD...FEEL BETTER SESSIONS IN MAINE-a program for women who have appearance-related side effects from chemotherapy or radiation treatment for any form of cancer. Program provides information and hands-on instruction on makeup and skin care, and offers suggestions for using wigs, turbans and scarves. Free of charge. Last Sunday of every other month at 1 p.m at Cary Medical Center. Call Prudy Dobson at 498-3111.

MENTALLY ILL ALLIANCE-The Central Aroostook Alliance for the Mentally Ill, a support system for parents, siblings, spouses and significant others of persons with mental illness, meets 7 p.m. the second Wednesday each month at the Congregational Church in Presque Isle. MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS-self-help group meets the third Wednesday each month 7-9 p.m. in the Maine Room of Cary Medical Center. The group aims to increase public awareness about MS, answer questions, provide information about MS research, treatments, nutrition, exercise, and to share experiences. NARCONON-Are drugs affecting your family or a friend? call 1-800-468-6933 or visit www.stopaddiction.com. Narconon provides answers to drug addiction, providing free assessment, evaluation and referral services to internally recognized alternative and traditional treatment facilities.

OSTOMY SUPPORT GROUP-If you or someone you know has an ostomy (colostomy, ileostomy or urostomy) and a need for support and guidance, there is good news! A support group that provides hope and healing to ostomy patients living and working in our community meets regularly. All ostomates and their family members are welcome. PARENT-TO-PARENT SUPPORT GROUPS-for parents of emotionally or behaviorally impaired children.
