County Dialysis Center, a department of The Aroostook Medical Center (TAMC), celebrated 10 years of providing dialysis services in Aroostook County at an open house and celebration held at the center on Sunday, September 16. The dialysis center, located on North Street in Presque Isle, is the only one of its kind north of Bangor. Fifty Aroostook County residents go to the center three times each week to receive life-sustaining kidney dialysis treatments. Since opening in 1997, the center has provided over 50,000 treatments to hundreds of people in our communities who rely on kidney dialysis to survive.

Fifty guests attended the celebration, including dialysis patients, friends and family members of patients, TAMC employees, and community members. Attendees enjoyed refreshments and brief presentations by TAMC President/CEO Dave Peterson, TAMC Vice President of Nursing Lynn Turnbull, County Dialysis Center Manager Margo Cerrato, and dialysis patient Monica Cilley. Reverend Ken Phelps delivered the benediction.
