About Exploring

Exploring provides experiences for young people that teach them about career opportunities, life skills, service, leadership, and building character.

The Aroostook Medical Center's Exploration Program gives young people the chance to learn about the various careers in healthcare. Students participate in information sessions and interactive discussions with healthcare workers. In some instances, students can view demonstrations of various jobs. Students are offered the opportunity to volunteer within the organization, job shadow, and perhaps obtain financial assistance for college.
