Accrual begins following 500 hours. Amount of earned time off increases with hours of service proportionally based upon regular work hours accumulated up to yearly maximums. Earned time provides employees with paid time off as an alternative to traditional sick leave, holiday, and vacation benefit days. Employees may also use this program for days off for personal reasons and for unanticipated illness in the employee's family.
